Louise has seventeen years’ experience working globally with a large range of blue chip and NGO clients as a facilitator, team and individual coach and mediator, focusing on behavioural, organisational, systemic and strategic issues. Key strengths include understanding group dynamics and calmly facilitating thoughtful communication on the journey to conflict resolution.
After a thirteen-year career in business as an accountant and finance director, she began studying an extensive self-designed syllabus in psychology. As a teacher in Somatic coaching she utilises a blend of martial art and mindfulness techniques. Louise recently completed her Masters in Integrative Coaching Psychology. With a United Nations International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance, Louise has worked with the UN and its sister agencies to enhance field workers’ capacity to cope with stress.
Based in Scotland, Louise undertakes pro-bono coaching of communication skills and stress management to national youth sports teams. Her sense of adventure, connection to our environment and forty-year passion for kayaking have inspired solo kayak journeys around the Scottish isles; also teaching sailing, facilitating a local cycling club, skiing and Pilates all stand Louise in good stead as a diverse thinking partner with her clients.
Strongly committed to her own development, she is currently undertaking further research and practice in the area of the Polyvagal theory and its implication for integrating into coaching.
